The School of Hospitality Management is proud to be the provider of the internationally recognised qualification, Diploma in Hospitality Management, which is awarded by the Educational Institute (EI) of American Hotel and Lodging Association (AH&LA). The EI is the premier source for delivering quality hospitality education, training and professional certification that serves the needs of hospitality schools and industries worldwide.
The school was rated number 1 by EI AHLA in Asia Pacific and 2nd in the world. The EI's study materials are developed by hospitality industry experts, and they are used by corporate trainers, practitioners and other finest universities colleges in Malaysia and overseas. Hotel industry trainers such as Malaysian Hotel Training & Educational Centre (MAHTEC) are also using the EI's resources to train hospitality practitioners in Malaysia.
Our students undergo a comprehensive learning process in hospitality management practices, leadership skills, practical training for Food and Beverage, Front Office, Housekeeping Management and 5 Star Hotel Internship. Students will be equipped with a high level of theoretical knowledge as well as operational and management skills that are in great demand in the hospitality industry.
In addition to the hospitality management program, the school's Hospitality Student Club also organises regular educational visits to hotel, trade fairs and sports events as well as arranges social and charitable activities and career talks by our industry partners. Students will gain insights into hotel operations, the latest updates on hospitality management. We hope to inspire students to develop and work towards their area of interest within the hospitality industry.
Students who have obtained their Diploma in Hospitality Management from Stamford College have the option to directly move on to Year 2 of the Degree in Hospitality Management (awarded by University of Ballarat, Australia). This degree program has a real world application focus, where students learn through case studies and assignment work based on contemporary hospitality management operations.
