| Language |
Bahasa Malaysia (Malay language) is the national language. English is widely spoken as well. Other languages and dialects such as Mandarin, Cantonese, Hokkien and Tamil are common among the Chinese and Indian communities respectively. In Stamford College, all courses are delivered in English. |
| Religion | Islam is the official state religion. However, the Malaysian Constitution guarantees freedom of worship. As such Christianity, Buddhism and Hinduism are other main religions. |
| Currency | Ringgit Malaysia (RM). The Student Services Department will assist international students on currency conversion and other banking matters upon arrival at Stamford College. |
| Accommodation | There is a wide range of off-campus accommodation to meet student budgets. Student Services Department will make arrangements for international students upon receiving a request for accommodation. |
| Food | Students can cook their own food where cooking facilities are available at their accommodation. Alternatively, eating out is cheap and there is a wide variety of cuisine to choose from. |
| Traveling | Public transport is widely available. Some areas in KL are served by rail and light rail systems. |
