How long does it take to complete a course at Stamford College?

  For school leavers with SPM or equivalent qualifications, it normally takes 3 years and 9 months to complete a 3+0 degree together with a foundation course. The 3+0 degree majors available are International Business Administration, Marketing and Electrical & Electronics Engineering. For the North American Degree Programme, it will take 3 to 3 ½ years to complete a degree. Post SPM students taking the North American Degree Program can complete a Bachelor of Management degree with Athabasca University within 3 years.

What are the entry requirements to enter the Stamford College courses?

 

For Malaysian students, they need to have at least 5 credits in SPM or equivalent qualifications. Credits must be in Mathematics and English.

For international students, they must complete a 12-year education in their home country and need to be 17 years old and above. English qualification is not compulsory as students can study in the English Language Proficiency Course (ELPC) at Stamford College before continuing with the next course of their choice. For students who have TOEFL score 550 or IELTS score 5.5, they can be exempted from the ELPC.

How do I apply to Stamford College?

  Yes. The Student Services Department will assist students in this area.

Are there any activities available for students at Stamford College?

  Definitely. Students can participate in the sports activities, excursions and festival activities organised by the Student Services Department.

I am an international student. Do I have to apply for my own student visa? How long does it take?

  According to the Immigration regulations, international students intending to study in Malaysia have to apply for their student visa through the college they intend to study in. At Stamford College, the International Student Services Department assists international students in this area. Normally, student visa application will take 3 working weeks for approval from the authorities.

Do you provide any airport pick-up for international students?

  Yes. Once a student has confirmed his/her flight details, he/she is required to inform the International Student Services Department immediately. The student is required to do this at least 7 days before arrival in Malaysia.

Can international students use the health insurance purchased in their home country?

  Please note that upon the student’s registration at Stamford College, he/she will be required to purchase a hospitalisation insurance plan, specifically catered for Stamford College students.

16.

Do you help international students in banking matters such as foreign exchange and opening a bank account?

  Yes, the International Student Services Department will be able to assist you in this.

17.

I don’t know what to study. How would you advise me?
